We serve at Christ Freedom because Jesus Christ first served us, not out of obligation. Serving is worship. Although there are multiple places to serve inside the church, our service should not be limited to only the church. Below are the areas within our church to serve and contact info for those looking to serve outside the church.
Serving
-
Children’s ministry is the largest group of unbelievers in the church each week. This is a mission field to serve the children at Christ Freedom by praying for them, interacting with the kids, and teaching provided lessons about the word of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ. More than “babysitting” we see serving in Children's ministry as an opportunity to minister to the next generation, and help them understand Christ and the gospel. There are also specific opportunities to serve in craft creation, events, kids worship, administration, logistics planning and Sunday check in team outside of the classroom.
-
Hospitality serves the church by helping to create an environment that is warm and hospitable for all those who attend the weekend Gathering. People serving with Hospitality will focus on helping everyone feel loved by greeting people at the doors, setting up coffee for people to enjoy, and being conversation starters in the worship center. We take very seriously the call to being a hospitable group that feels welcoming and loving, so this is a key ministry for us.
-
Set-Up/ Tear- Down serves the church by setting-up and tearing-down the gathering area, and children’s space. From speakers and TV’s, to aiding in removing things from the trailer or school storage, the set-up team helps in setting up the environment, and the tear-down team aids in removing it, making it ready for the school to use the next day.
-
AV serves the church by running the soundboard and helping to run PowerPoint for worship and teaching slides.
-
Videography/ photography serves the church by capturing the Sunday Gathering service to be seen virtually. This ministry captures footage and pictures of the life, community, weekend gatherings and more at CFC to be able to tell the greater story of what God has and is doing at CFC.
-
Worship serves the church by helping to create an environment to encounter the Lord God together in the corporate Gathering of the saints. This is accomplished through singing, playing in the band, and leading the congregation in worship.
