OUR BELIEFS
. . . .
God
There is one sovereign creator God, the maker of the heavens and the earth and all that dwell therein. God alone is holy. God is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. The Godhead eternally exists as three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Father is not the Son and the Son is not the Holy Spirit and all exist as three distinct essences yet one in nature, God. The relational union of God being one God and three distinct essences is known as the Trinity.
Genesis 1:1; Exodus 34:6-7; Psalm 103:8; Mark 12:29; Matthew 3:16 -17; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity, the Son of God, and has eternally existed as God. The incarnate Jesus entered into human history, putting on human flesh and becoming like man, so that He alone might pay the penalty of our sins to welcome redemption and a restored relationship with God. Jesus is the exact representation of God. Jesus is perfectly man, without sin, and fully God. Jesus died the death that mankind was destined to die, and that death he died on a cross. Jesus rose victoriously from the dead in full power over sin, death and the devil. Jesus ascended into the glory and is now seated at the right hand of God. All who call on Jesus as Lord and Savior, turning to Jesus as King and away from sin, will be saved. One day Jesus will return to judge the earth in righteousness, welcoming all his followers into eternal union with God.

The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and is equally God. The Holy Spirit has eternally existed with God the Father and God the Son. The Holy Spirit is the agent of conviction to both welcome regeneration for those who do not know or follow Jesus Christ and to guide believers of Jesus Christ away from sin. The Holy Spirit is the helper of all followers of Jesus Christ to help Christians to stay the course of making disciples. The Holy Spirit is the agent of power at work in the life of Christians in order that Christians may witness to the world about the goodness of knowing and following Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit also intercedes for the saints, illuminates Scripture, helps in our weakness, and gives the believer spiritual gifts to minister to the church.

The Bible
We believe that all scripture is inspired by God. The whole of the biblical text is from God and given to men. The source of scripture is the very breath of God therefore we believe the scriptures to be infallible, inerrant, and authoritative. Infallible, the word is fully trustworthy in everything and does not mislead. Inerrant, the word of God is free from falsehood and mistakes. Authoritative, the word is truth. The whole of scripture tells the story of God from creation, the fall, redemption, and end times.
2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 33:4; John 17:17
Humanity
Man was created in the image of God and by God. Man was created without wrong and fault upon creation. However, man rebelled against God by listening to the serpent in the Garden of Eden and thus sin entered into the world. Original sin caused separation from God and now all of mankind are born sinful, falling short of God’s righteous standard, and are need of salvation.
Genesis 1:26-28, 3:1-24; Romans 5:12; Ephesians 2:1
Salvation
We believe that God fulfilled his OT promise in the coming of a Savior, for the sins of man, in and through Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus Christ came in the form of man, though he was God, so that the sins created by the first man, Adam, may be atoned for through Jesus for all sins imparting righteousness into all those who believe. We believe the NT scriptures when it communicates the Gospel: The good news of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who died in our place, sinful men, to make us right with God and rose from the dead to establish his kingdom by which he will rule all things. We believe that a right relationship with God and sinful man exist only by faith in the One who brought reconciliation, Jesus Christ.
Isaiah 7:14; Philippians 2:6,7; John 14:6, 1 John 1:9, Ephesians 1:7
The Church
We believe Jesus Christ has created, through his death and resurrection, a chosen people through faith in his finished work on the cross. This people, having been brought into union with God through faith in Jesus Christ, are members of the body of Christ also to be called the Bride of Jesus Christ . The members that make up the body of Jesus Christ are those who have come to faith in Jesus Christ and have been given the promised Holy Spirit. This place and people came to exist as the chosen people of God upon the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost, given to those with faith in Jesus Christ, and by that this people are the Church. This people, having received the Holy Spirit, are sealed as the people of God under the bond of peace with the command to love and to make disciples. The church is a covenantal community.
